History of Hartland Mansion
Hartland Mansion began in the 1940’s as two separate residences in the historic 6th Street District. Back in those days, 6th Street was the place to live for anyone who was in the Casino or Hotel business which included, Howard Hughes, the Binions, the Houssels, the Hamms, and Jake Kosloff, to name a few.

In the early 70’s the two homes were purchased by the Arvey Estate. A massive renovation plan was commissioned to join the two homes into one home that would have app. 13,000 square feet. Mr. Arvey sent his architect to Disneyland to replicate the exterior and façade of the Plaza Inn on Main Street and spared no expense in building his Victorian Mansion. In 1978 the Arvey estate sold the home to the Hart Family. Due to Mr. Arvey’s untimely departure, the Mansion was not completed and the Hart’s took on the overwhelming task of completion. In 1980 and 1981 the Mansion had two fires which leveled the house. When Toni Hart made the decision to completely rebuild the Mansion, she had her
architect to keep the exterior design and floor plan identical to the original plan, but embellished and enlarged the design to increase the Mansion’s size to a staggering 31,000 square feet under roof. The rebuilding and restoration took nearly 7 years to complete.

As the Mansion rose from the ashes, Toni Hart began receiving requests to use the Mansion for receptions, dinner parties and charitable events. Those granted requests eventually evolved into a fulltime business that has hosted some of the most celebrated parties, weddings and events over the past 20 years. Ginger Rogers danced here. Willie Nelson sang here. Engelbert Humperdinck dined here. Robert DeNiro and Sharon Stone made a movie here. Jackie Collins launched a book here. The Las Vegas Symphony gave a concert in the Grand Party Room for 400 guests. Art Shows, Fashion Shows, Fund Raisers, Corporate Events, Mitzvahs, Weddings and Wedding Receptions have all been held at Hartland Mansion. The glamour of old Las Vegas is alive and well at Hartland Mansion.
